This information was relayed by the Vice Chancellor in an interactive session with journalists in Ilorin on the 1st of this Month.

Ambali said and we quote him fully:
“The University of Ilorin (popularly known as Unilorin) was the first to start the computer base test (CBT) examination and I am glad that it is being embraced nationwide, especially by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
So, we deem it fit, to give the JAMB management board, a couple of trials and once the jamb management board restores confidence in the system, many universities may review the need for their post-JAMB.
However, in the meantime, we will continue to watch JAMB to see how consistent it would be in handling its CBT examination and the after effect it will have on the Nigeria educational sector.”

We’ll love to bring to your notice, that sometimes ago, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Dibu Ojerinde, has disclosed thaat the post-UTME screening tests conducted by institutions of higher learning would soon be weed out, following the introduction of the Computer-Based Test (CBT).

We’ll be bringing more information to you about the scraping of POST UTME, but till then, take note that the Post UTME examination is a MUST for all candidates seeking admission into their school of choice/preferred academic institution for the 2015/2016 academic session.
