Ahead of 2018 governorship election in Osun State, Governor Rauf Aregbesola said that he has not endorsed anyone to succeed him.
The governor made the declaration in an all night interactive programme tagged: ‘Ogbeni Till Daybreak’ on Saturday in Osogbo.
Aregbesola, said it was not true that effort to choose who would succeed him in 2018 was threatening his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The governor said APC in the state was as solid, strong and effective as any party could be.

Cleric- God says Buhari will complete his tenure

A clergyman, Obinna Omerie, has declared that President Muhammadu Buhari will successfully pilot the affairs of the country till 2019 in good health.
Omerie, the founder of Grace and Great Kings Christian Ministry, Egbu, Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo, made the declaration while addressing journalists in Owerri on Saturday.
“God revealed to me as His prophet that Buhari will complete his tenure in 2019,” he said.
He said that those expressing concern over President Buhari’s health are spiritually blindfolded and speaking from revelations backed by satanic sources.

EFCC seeks total forfeiture of $43m as court’s deadline expires

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yesterday told the Federal High Court in Lagos that no one has come forward to claim the $43,449,947 (about N13 billion), N23, 218,000 and £27,800 (about N10.6milion) cash found in an apartment on Osborne Road, Ikoyi Lagos.
It, therefore, prayed Justice Muslim Hassan to make an order of final forfeiture of the money to the Federal Government.
The judge, while ordering a temporary forfeiture of the money on April 13, directed EFCC to advertise the order in a newspaper so that anybody who owns the money can claim it within 14 days.
EFCC’s lawyer, Rotimi Oyedepo, said no one showed up in court to show cause why the money should not be permanently forfeited.
