Sule Lamido returns, reports to EFCC on Thursday
Alhaji Sule Lamido
The immediate past Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, on Monday, returned to the country from his foreign trip and promised to visit the Economic and Financial Crime Commission on Thursday.
Lamido stated this while speaking with newsmen in his Bamaina village in Birninkudu Local Government Area of the state.
He said he would not ignore the invitation of the EFCC, as the anti-graft agency of the government, recognised by law.
Lamido, however, said he was not aware of any invitation from the EFCC.
‘I am aware of the invitation,” he said.
Lamido added that he would not join issues with the incumbent governor of the state on the debt of the state before he left office.
There is a conflicting figure on the debt inherited by the All Progressives Congress-led government in the state.
The former governor said while leaving office, he held a special council meeting, where he briefed the press on the liabilities he left.
