Orubebe Dumps PDP For APC?
May 19, 2015 These are indeed, days of rumours, the latest being a most unlikely one. That former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and one of the frontline chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the South-South, Godsday Orubebe, has dumped the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC).Although this is yet to be authenticated, the social media is already awash with the report that allegedly emanated from his Twitter handle, @ElderGOrubebe.
Orubebe reportedly took to his Twitter page to make the announcement on Tuesday, saying, “I have concluded plans to join my folks in the APC, to champion and sustain the movement for a better Niger Delta in the new administration.
“Details will be released soon. Thank you all.”
Suspicions are rife about the authenticity of this announcement, as many public office holders and institutions, including the PDP, have complained that their Twitter accounts were hacked in recent times.
