JSS cultists undergoing re-orientation, say Police

JSS cultists undergoing re-orientation, say Police

The 14 Junior Secondary School students arrested two weeks over their alleged involvement in cult-related activities in Benin City, Edo State, are now undergoing re-orientation, police said on Tuesday.
The state’s Public Relations Officer, Stephen Onwochei, stated this while giving update on the students arrest in Benin City.

” We are interacting with the children with a view to re-orientating them, so that they can be better leaders of tomorrow.
” Their matter is still being handled, considering their ages, they can be brought to the proper track. But that does not mean that we are undermining the law governing juvenile offenders.
” While their matter is still being handled legally we are equally incorporating the human angle in trying to re-orientate them,” Onwochei stated.
