Kano Drops Charges against 14 years-old Suspected Killer Bride

Kano state Ministry of Justice has requested a Kano High Court to set free Wasila Tasiu, 14, arrested and docked for the alleged murder of her 35 years old husband and three other persons who ate from a poisoned meal dished out by her.
The state Attorney General had filed a four-count charge of culpable homicide, seeking for a death penalty for the accused.
But on Wednasday, Barrister Lamido Soron Dinki brought an application
on behalf of the Ministry of Justice, urging the court to quash the
allegations against Wosilat and set her free.
The court declined to delve into the request , as it adjourned the case to June 9, stating that the application was brought orally.
It said an application seeking for the dismissal of such a weighty allegations ought to be brought in written.
