Ilorin Road: Cleric Seeks Repair Of Mokwa-Jebba
Aliagan lamented the state of the disrepair of the ever busy highway and the attendant motor accidents associated with it.
He noted that many innocent lives had been lost to avoidable auto crashes on the road.
Aliagan who spoke with newsman in Ilorin added that the bad condition of the road also aides robbery operations on the route.
While urging concerned federal agencies to embark on an inspection tour of the road, he traced the bad state of the road to heavy duty trucks(trailer lorries) plying the road.
He canvassed the construction of alternative route for the heavy duty trucks to stop the incessant carnage on the Mokwa-Jebba- Ilorin highway.
The cleric urged the Kwara state government to link up with the federal government and facilitate the immediate repair of the road.
This, he said becomes imperative because majority of victims of auto crashes and armed robbery operations along the route are people of Kwara state.
