Computer Society lauds Ambali's passion for R & D

The Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) has commended the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali (OON), for his unwavering commitment and passion for research and development (R&D) towards nation building.


The Society also commended Prof. Ambali and the university management for the successful hosting of the 3rd Computer Science and Information Technology Research and Development Workshop, which held in the institution between May 6 and 8, 2015, noting that the hosting of the Workshop had repositioned the “Better-By-Far” University in the computing and information technology profession in the country.
The Chairman of the Kwara State Branch of the Society, Dr. Rasheed Jimoh, gave the commendation penultimate Monday (June 22, 2015) while presenting a letter of appreciation on behalf of the President of the Society, Prof. David, to the Vice-Chancellor in his office.
Dr. Jimoh, who is also the Ag. Head of the Department of Computer Science, University of Ilorin, pointed out that Prof. Ambali's support for the Workshop was a clear demonstration of his love and passion for research and development towards the development of the nation.
He was accompanied on the visit by the Society's Vice-Chairman, Mr. Saka Bolakale.
