GIVE THEM WHAT THEY DESERVE : International day Against child Labour

GIVE THEM WHAT THEY DESERVE

We all wished for a better life,
Such, that is full of milk and honey with no cause to strife.
We all hoped for superfluous riches and wealth,
And every pleasure and treasure on the surface of earth.
It was neither our desire to be at the end of the food chain,
Nor our fault to be drenched by the shameful rains.

We wanted to be sincerely educated at all cost,
Against our unfair destinies, this became so worst.
We wanted to dress up good and smell so nice,
But to rise, we couldn't afford the exorbitant price.
In public places, we wanted to speak loud and clear,
Alas! We were ridiculed to the point of ceaseless tears.

We could have been bold enough to fight our fights,
But oppressed and famished, we lacked the strength to claim our rights.
We got punished for unknown crimes with death sentences,
And by feigning our demises, they're grievously lost in pretenses.
It was never our desire to pass every night under the bridges,
But at every attempt to succeed, our fate laid deadly sieges.

But no matter the circumstances, be helpful to a child,
To a pleb and less privileged, avoid being harsh or wild.
We are sad and depressed, but it happens for a reason,
And as you're living a comfy life, it surely can't be for all season.
Be aware that we never can't leave this world alive,
So, make impact to lives and let downtrodden souls thrive.

Give us life, hope, joys and skills to awash our pressure,
Give us wings to fly and keys to access our future.
Stop being selfish or feel unnecessarily superior,
Being humble and selfless, so that we wouldn't feel inferior.
Beyond our ages and strengths, we've gone through a lot,
Be nice to us; we know our miseries were never your fault.

... If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one. Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.
