NCDC Speaks on resumption of Schools




Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, the director general of Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has lifted the heart of many on resumption of school that been shutdown for months due to virus.







Very Many see the reopening of schools as something difficult to happen while some considered it as a news that lifts up the heart based on how the coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to spread in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Chikwe Ihekweazu, said on Monday that the education sector was part of those things being discussed

He said, ‘‘How do we progressively move from the narrative of lockdown to a normal life?






These should to be our focus in the coming week to provide guidance for businesses to take responsibility and reopen safely’’.

Similar conversations are going on in the education sector and I have the privilege to some of those .

the presidential task force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha said President Buhari have showed his concern on reopening of the country's economy. He said a consensus was reach and that Nigerians will have to live with the virus up to four weeks in the nearest future.






Chikwe Ihekweazu added, We must take every step in to deliberate on the issue in a well manner due to what we have on ground with our health care in other to render assistance to save the citizens

looking forward to seeing president Buhari in two weeks time and that his assurances are ready to reopen and also makes his decision easier

He also said, ‘‘ it will be much easier for President Buhari, when we visit him in the next two weeks with a narrative that we are ready to reopen safely.

Other sectors would be given initiatives, guidelines and focus on how to curb the virus.
